End of November - not long now

Just getting up to speed on this blogging thing - we have about a month before we start our trip and here is how the plan looks thus far.
Dec. 27th - head to Tassie on the Spirit of Tasmania - Cradle Mt, Henty Dunes, Hobart (and Jenny +Keith visit), Freycinet Nat'l Park, then back to Melbourne on Jan. 7th, 2010.

We think we may head East for a couple of days to see Wilson's Promintory and some of that part of Victoria that we haven't seen, then head West along the Great Ocean Road. We have to be in Adelaide by the 17th for the Tour Down Under with Cadel Evans, Robbie McEwen, and Lance (of course).
On the 22nd we fly out to Geneva for the Medicine With Altitude Conference in Chamonix/Zermatt (home of the Mattehorn) and return to Adelaide on the 6th of February. I'll be working from the 8th or thereabouts in a place outside of Adelaide called Murray Bridge for 3 weeks then head northward to the opal mining mecca of Coober Pedy fora week of work there. We'll likely take a week off and drive up to Alice Springs from there - taking in Ulhuru (Ayre's Rock) at some point in this journey. After a couple of weeks we'll retrace some steps and start our journey Westward along the Nullabor. Plans are still in the works for our visit there and should be coming together in the next couple of months.
The Caravan is pretty much ready to go - just have to pack up the house and get our storage materials to Sydney. Lots to do - so little time!
